Tahiti Pearls Would You Recommend Buying Pearls In Tahiti?

Would you recommend buying pearls in Tahiti? - tahiti pearls

I'm going to Tahiti (and on the island of Moorea, to be exact) in August for my honeymoon and I was thinking about buying a pearl necklace, while I am there. Is there a good deal? Are there any scams I should look out for? Would you purchase in Tahiti or buy me at home (USA)?

I've heard that (not the black pearl farmers to sell tons of pearls) to improve to increase their value and cost of the beads. Be sure to compare to the prices, do not go into the store, because many first tour operators, taxi ... Take You There "and say it's cheap, has a pearl farm, but .... is the reason that gets a commission for the sale or the fee to attract tourists. The only reason why you do not buy it, is was for the memories, so it a memorable one with the pearls of French Polynesia for their honeymoon, while you're here. I recommend you buy beads in bulk, if you want a gold necklace, gems ... return to the United States and receive a jeweler to do what we want. If you want a pearl necklace as a "node" Pearl, you have a lot of money. If you want only a small pearl earrings, then do so.

So to be honest, you can find cheaper chain of black beads on the American market, eBay is a good source of black pearl jewelry, but know that the photos are not as precise as thein his hand that he go into a shop with jewelry, Tahitian pearls are not so sure whether eBay. Since some of my many jewelers (1000 +), which can be really cheap, cheaper than any sold in Tahitian pearls. Some major markets are the USA, Japan and Hong Kong.
Tahiti imported gold jewelry and transportation costs + taxes + profit margins are very high that why the United States are less expensive.

My advice is: If it is your honeymoon more important than money can buy in Tahiti, so I always remember when it is her necklace of pearls. If money is your problem, you can compare prices to buy and first in the United States, but when the dollar against the U.S. dollar of French Polynesia is possible that some jewelers do not sell cheap because they are not in a position to "a lot" Buy prior to Pearl.

Tahiti is one of the most expensive ever you came to visit. Now Pearl is probably not a good idea. Morea is wonderful, but at least a day trip to Bora Bora. Their extraordinary beauty. Many people consider it the most beautiful place in the world. You can take the ferry again, but I recommend you stay there and if you use the option.
Tahiti is primarily a honeymoon resort with more than 85% of all visitors is their honeymoon. So it's not really a party place ... more romantic than anything else. But the economies of their dollars in places that have better prices.
